ENVIROVOTERS STATEMENT ON BECERRA’S NOMINATION TO LEAD HHS
Oakland, CA –The California Environmental Voters (EnviroVoters) today released a statement on the nomination of Xavier Becerra to be Secretary of Health and Human Services. Becerra currently serves as California’s Attorney General.

“Xavier Becerra is a bold advocate for environmental justice,” said Mary Creasman, CEO of the California Environmental Voters. “As California’s Attorney General, he took on corporate polluters and fought for clean air and water for our state. He understands the connection between our environment and our health. Americans will breathe easier with Xavier Becerra leading the Department of Health and Human Services.”
