San Francisco, CA — Today, the California League of Conservation Voters (CLCV) issued an invitation to members of the media to attend the Badass Women In Green Awards. This event will celebrate women trailblazers in the environmental movement.
Members of the media are invited to join CLCV for a night of hope and inspiration and the opportunity to showcase diverse women who are using their voice, platforms, and creativity to organize for climate action.
WHO: At the event, the following badass women will receive awards:
Jamie Margolin, Founder Zero Hour: Jamie co-founded Zero Hour, a movement that centers the voices of diverse youth in the conversation around climate and environmental justice.
Nicole Taylor, CEO Silicon Valley Community Foundation: A former teacher and now philanthropic leader of one of the largest community foundations in the nation, Nicole has empowered hundreds — if not thousands — of people to take their role in fighting for climate action.
Leilani Munter, Race Car Driver and Environmental Activist: Leilani has dedicated the latter part of her career on the urgency of the climate crisis and engaging her audiences in the fight.
Tracy Gray, Founder the 22 Fund/Executive-in-Residence, Los Angeles Cleaner Incubator: Tracy has successfully led the business community to advance their work in greening our economy. She is the founder of the 22 Fund, an impact and growth equity firm focused on increasing the export capacity and accelerating growth of green Southern California companies.
